Hey Beauties!
If you love the Dollhouse collection as much as I do, I'm sure you'll be looking for different ways to wear this versatile collection instead of just wearing one color at a time on all ten nails. With it's monochromatic palette, this collection is super easy to fade, blend and add to your next easy nail art looks!
1. Dollhouse Skittle
You know I love a good skittle manicure and this collection screams skittle! The monochromatic palette features varying lighter shades of 'Plastic Hearts' and so each color perfectly compliments all the others making this a super easy look to recreate and wear.
Recreate The Dollhouse Skittle Manicure:
- On clean, prepared nails, paint 1 coat of your base coat on all of your fingernails.
- Paint 1 coat of 'Plastic Hearts' on the thumb fingernail.
- Paint 1 coat of 'Dream House' on the index fingernail.
- Paint 1 coat of 'Shopping Spree' on the middle fingernail.
- Paint 1 coat of 'Little Pink Corvette' on the ring fingernail.
- Paint 1 coat of 'Malibu Beach Party' on the pinky fingernail.
- Repeat steps 2-6 if desired for opacity.
- Finish your manicure by topping each fingernail with a glossy top coat.
- Apply the Bubblegum Cuticle Oil to the cuticle area and massage gently into skin.
- Once the cuticle oil has soaked in, top with the Bubblegum Cuticle Balm to help lock in the moisture and provide a deeper level of hydration to your skin.

Other Ways To Wear The Dollhouse Skittle Manicure:
While this is one simple way to wear the Dollhouse Skittle Manicure, feel free to get creative with it! You can reverse the colors so that 'Malibu Beach Party' is on your thumb, 'Little Pink Corvette' is on your index finger, 'Shopping Spree' will stay on your middle finger, 'Dream House' will be on your ring finger and 'Plastic Hearts' will be on your pinky. You can also mix up the colors so that they aren't going from lightest to darkest or darkest to light and instead are randomly placed on each fingernail. Another option would be the modified skittle like we did with our sexy valentine's day manicure where you only use 3 colors instead of 5.
2. Dollhouse Gradient Manicure
Creating gradients with the Dollhouse collection is an absolute breeze! You can't go wrong with this color palette and the creme formulation blends flawlessly.
Recreate The Dollhouse Gradient Manicure
- On clean, prepared nails, paint 1 coat of your base coat on all of your fingernails.
- Paint 1 coat of 'Malibu Beach Party' on all fingernails.
- Repeat step 2, if desired for opacity.
- Top all fingernails with a glossy top coat and allow to fully dry.
- Once all nails are fully dry, take a make up sponge and paint 1 stripe of 'Malibu Beach Party' onto the sponge. Next to that, paint 1 stripe of 'Shopping Spree'. Next to 'Shopping Spree', paint 1 stripe of 'Plastic Hearts'. You should now have 3 stripes of nail polish painted onto the make up sponge. The stripes should be touching each other, but don't need to be perfectly blended (this will happen when you apply them to your nail). Do not allow the make up sponge to dry, you want the paint to still be wet when you apply it to your nails.
- Now, take your painted make up sponge and with 'Malibu Beach Party' at the bottom near your cuticle and 'Plastic Hearts' near the tip of your nail, gently press the make up sponge to your nail in short little dabs. Work on one nail at a time and make sure to move the sponge around (up and down, but also side to side) to help blend the paint and fully cover your nail.
- If desired, repeat steps 5 and 6 until your reach the desired opacity and blending of your gradient.
- Repeat steps 5-7 on each individual fingernail.

Other Ways To Wear The Dollhouse Gradient Manicure:
Gradients are so fun and easy with a monochromatic collection like this one! If you don't want to do a horizontal one like I've shown here, how about a vertical one that radiates out from the center nail? I would take 'Malibu Beach Party' and paint the middle finger nail with it and then use the process of creating a vertical gradient from our easy jelly rainbow vertical gradient post and do vertical gradients on the ring and index fingernails with 'Malibu Beach Party' and 'Shopping Spree' and then another vertical gradient on the pinky and thumb fingernails with 'Shopping Spree' and 'Plastic Hearts'. That way it would look like your nails were getting darker as the nails got further away from your middle finger. A more simple way to wear a gradient manicure would be to paint your nails with a nice neutral jelly or sheer shade and then sponge on just one of the colors to to tips of your nails for a sort of French manicure style gradient. You could even do each tip a different shade and it would be combination of the gradient and skittle manicure!
3. Dollhouse Fading Dotticure
This manicure was a surprise favorite of mine. I love skittle manicures and I love gradient manicures, but this dotticure has really captured my heart. The color palette and the dot formation gives a retro feel to this easy nail art manicure!
Recreate The Dollhouse Fading Dotticure
- On clean, prepared nails, paint 1 coat of your base coat on all of your fingernails.
- Paint 1 coat of 'Plastic Hearts' on all fingernails and allow to dry completely.
- Repeat step 2, if desired for opacity.
- Take a small piece of aluminum foil (or use a paint palette) and dab a couple of drops of 'Malibu Beach Party' onto the foil with the brush.
- Once all nails are fully dry, take a dotting tool (or toothpick) and dip your dotting tool into the drop of 'Malibu Beach Party' on your foil or palette.
- Starting at the cuticle line, make one large dot with 'Malibu Beach Party' on all fingernails.
- You are going to be repeating steps 4-6 on each fingernail next with 'Little Pink Corvette', then 'Shopping Spree' and lastly 'Dream House'. Each dot will go slightly above the last dot and be slightly smaller than the previous dot. To get the dot to be smaller, dab your dotting tool into the drop of nail polish on the aluminum foil and then dot it once onto the aluminum foil before using it to dot your nail. This is the size for the second dot of 'Little Pink Corvette'. For the third dot of 'Shopping Spree', dab your dotting tool into the drop of 'Shopping Spree', and then dab it twice on the aluminum foil before dotting it on your nail above the dot of 'Little Pink Corvette'. For the final dot, dab your dotting tool into a drop of 'Dream House', dab it three times on the aluminum foil before placing it on your nail above the dot of 'Shopping Spree'. If you have multiple sizes of dotting tools, you can just use different sizes to achieve smaller dots instead of dabbing off the excess nail polish with the same size tool.
- Once the dots are fully dry, finish your manicure by topping each fingernail with a glossy top coat.
- Apply the Bubblegum Cuticle Oil to the cuticle area and massage gently into skin.
- Once the cuticle oil has soaked in, top with the Bubblegum Cuticle Balm to help lock in the moisture and provide a deeper level of hydration to your skin.

Other Ways To Wear The Dollhouse Fading Dotticure:
If you are looking for other variations on ways to wear the Dollhouse Fading Dotticure, let's first start with reversing the base colors. Instead of using 'Plastic Hearts' for your base, use 'Malibu Beach Party'. Start you first dot off with 'Plastic Hearts', your second dot would be 'Dream House', your third dot would be 'Shopping Spree' and your smallest and last dot would be 'Little Pink Corvette'. I also think this manicure would look really cool if you did three rows of dots instead of just one row going down the middle. You could also start the dots from the tip of the nail instead of the cuticle, in which case it would be kind of like combing the gradient manicure with the fading dotticure!
