Hey Beauties!

Are you ready for spring yet? I sure am! What better way to start the spring season than with a trend report! Every season, I love to ask our Instagram followers what they want to wear for the current or upcoming season. When asked about the 2022 spring season, here were a few of the answers I got:

1. Floral Shades & Designs

While we don't carry any tools for nail art or designs (such as stampers, stamping plates, nail art brushes, stickers or vinyls), I do love a good floral shade for my fingernails! In fact, I've based whole collections off of flower and garden themes! Check out the In The Garden Cremes and the Vintage Garden collection for flower inspired shades perfect for spring.

What's my pick for a spring floral shade? 'Peaches & Peonies'!

Fun story, 'Peaches & Peonies' was actually inspired by my wedding bouquet. The year that the In The Garden Cremes released was the the same year I got married (2019) and my color scheme was navy with a bunch of blushy and cream tones. My bouquet had garden roses, calla lilies, hydrangeas and peonies (of, course!). While 'Peaches & Peonies' is much brighter than any of the flowers I had in my bouquet, it was a starting point for creating this polish and fondly reminds me of my wedding every time I look at it.

2. Shimmers

Ah, shimmers! They were my first nail polish love and still a favorite of mine. I love a great two-toned shimmer, even a same tone shimmer and let's not forget the multi-chrome shimmers either! I don't make as many shimmers now due to issues with getting the pigments, but I do hope to revisit these beauties in the future. In the meantime, you can visit our currently stocked shimmer polishes here.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say my favorite shimmer nail polish for spring is 'Lightning In A Bottle'. I know, it is a topper, but man is it gorgeous over, well, pretty much anything! I'm already drooling over the thought of 'Lightning In A Bottle' worn over 'Peaches & Peonies'! Now I have to go paint my nails and do a photoshoot! Stay tuned for that blog post!

3. Sheers

I've got a surprise for this category! Now, it can be argued that our shimmer nail polishes and our flakie nail polishes have a thinner and more sheer consistency. This is true and I've specially formulated them this way so that you get the maximum effect of the shimmer and flakie pigments on the nail. However, I think most people who answered "Sheer" for their favorite type of nail polishes to wear in spring actually meant sheer or jelly-like polishes that never really reach full opacity on the nail and give just a touch of color without any added effect pigments. Would you believe that we don't really have any of this type of polish on our site?!?!

Crazy, I know! But, I've actually got two brand new collections sitting right next to me waiting to be poured and bottled and they are sheer jellies that are going to be so much fun to play around with! After formulating these, all I can say is that I'm totally on the sheer jelly train. There are so many easy nail art looks to do with these! I'm talking layering to create different colors, jelly sandwiches with toppers, gradients and more! Don't worry, blog posts and photoshoots are already being planned. You won't want to miss these!

Whew! Well, that wraps it up for our 2022 Spring Trend Report! Check out our 2022 Spring Edit to see all our favorites for the season!
