4 Glazed Donut Inspired Manicures To Try Out This Spring

Are you a fan of Hailey Bieber’s iconic glazed donut nails? Then you are in luck! I’ve created a special collection of 4 different nail polish toppers (and 1 amazingly scented cuticle balm) to help you recreate her stylish look. You don’t need fancy gel nail polishes or rub on powders, just simply our nail polishes. Here are four different manis that are perfect to wear this spring for all the glazed donut vibes.
What Makes A Glazed Donut Manicure?
Glazed donut manicures consist of two main elements: 1) a creamy, sheer shade and 2) a reflective chrome or color shifting shade. Over the last year Hailey Bieber has worn many different types of "glazed donut" style manicures, but these are the main qualities that they all encompass.
In my quest to recreate the is look with our own BLUSH nail polishes, I found that ‘Frosted Sugar Cookie’ was the ultimate winner in giving me that creamy, sheer quality for the base color. If you want a glazed donut manicure that is spot on with Bieber's original glazed donut manicure, 1 coat of ‘Frosted Sugar Cookie’ followed by 1 coat of ‘Candy Coated’ will do the trick! While ‘Frosted Sugar Cookie’ does have a golden shimmer to it, I find that when topped with ‘Candy Coated’, the gold shimmer gets kind of canceled out and you get a more reflective shimmer closer to Bieber's manicure.

However, I decided to take this a step further and tint the base colors with our jelly nail polishes to create a whole range of glazed donut manicures that are perfect to wear this spring! While I think that ‘Candy Coated’ gives you the best glazed donut effect, our other toppers in the collection add a fun twist of color to the typical glazed donut manicure.
Technique
The original Hailey Bieber glazed donut nails utilize a light colored gel nail polish (such as OPI’s GelColor in Funny Bunny) that needs to be cured before rubbing a chrome powder (like OPI’s Chrome Effects in Tin Man Can) all over the nail. While the technique really isn’t difficult, it does require using gel nail polish that you cure with an LED light. If you are familiar with how to apply gel nails, you can do this yourself at home or have them recreated at the salon.
But, since I’ve often had trouble wearing gel polish, I wanted to recreate this effect with regular nail polishes. All of the manicures recreated below are done by layering BLUSH nail polishes, no gel polish, rub on powders, LED lamps or curing involved!
Pink Glazed Donut
Soft, feminine and delicate, these nails are the perfect touch of color and shimmer for spring.
Recreate The Pink Glazed Donut Manicure:
- On clean, prepared nails, paint 1 coat of your base coat on all of your fingernails.
- Paint 1 thin coat of ‘Raspberry Rays’ on all fingernails and allow to dry.
- Paint 1 thin coat of ‘Frosted Sugar Cookie’ on all fingernails and allow to dry.
- Paint 1 thin coat of ‘Candy Coated’ on all fingernails and allow to dry.
- Finish your manicure by topping each fingernail with a glossy top coat.
- Apply the Jelly Doughnut Cuticle Balm to keep your fingers and cuticles moisturized and looking great!

Indigo Glazed Donut
If pink isn’t your color, try these lovely indigo tinted glazed donut nails! Sophisticated and elegant, the red shimmer of ‘Sugar Rush’ gives a lovely glow to this manicure!
Recreated The Indigo Glazed Donut Manicure:
- On clean, prepared nails, paint 1 coat of your base coat on all of your fingernails.
- Paint 1 thin coat of ‘Dark And Stormy’ on all fingernails and allow to dry.
- Paint 1 thin coat of ‘Frosted Sugar Cookie’ on all fingernails and allow to dry.
- Paint 1 thin coat of ‘Sugar Rush’ on all fingernails and allow to dry.
- Finish your manicure by topping each fingernail with a glossy top coat.

Turquoise Glazed Donut
